WORDINGHOUSE: Embracing Video

Adam Reads Poets Athena Kildegaard & Ruth Awad

It’s been too long. My last post was on June 3rd. No excuses, but if I had one, it’s that I have become busier with the day job—which, don’t get me wrong, I also love.

For those who don’t know, I’m a Broker Associate at Douglas Elliman Real Estate in NW Florida.

But I’m also a creative. I had to come up with a way to continue this passion project called WORDINGHOUSE. Turns out, recording video offers a quick delivery of content.

I hope you will watch. The subject is poetry. And I read two poems. I try to keep it short and sweet. Next time, I’ll try even harder.

I hope to continue in this format, or at least to allow myself the freedom to use this format when writing an entire piece doesn’t feel possible.

I’m going to include some information and links below as a companion to the video. At the very least, I can help proliferate the art of poetry and share some great poets and their work.

As I read aloud, I personally recommend you read the poems on your own off the page/screen. Drinking them in through your eyes and ears at the same time is the best of both worlds.
